Lionel Train Layout - Page 1 of 4

I've had my current Lionel train layout for over 20 years. Having about 320 square feet of space to work with, I designed a u-shaped layout in the center of the room with a control panel inside the "u." This design was chosen because I wanted to be able to walk around the layout to get as many views as possible. This also makes it easier to work on, as all parts of the layout are accessible. I have a viewable Track Plan for my layout.

There are three track loops, a trolley line and a monorail on my layout. Two of the track loops parallel each other on the lower level. The outer loop has O31 curves and the inner loop O27. The elevated track has O72 curves. I also have a number of operating and non-operating accessories, many of which can be seen in the photos below and the pages that follow. There are enough lights on the layout to illuminate it at night with the room lights off.
