Newbraugh Brothers Toys 1974 - 1982
Newbraugh Brothers Toys (NBT) of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia designed, printed, and distributed custom decorated train cars for over 25 years. John S. Newbraugh started NBT with his brother in the early 1970's. He sometimes used the name John R. Blubaugh on NBT rolling stock. Early on, NBT used Kris Model Trains and others for car decoration. In 1978 NBT teamed with Seymour Knight of Pleasant Valley Process (PVP) Company, who screen printed a variety of custom-decorated cars. Early NBT cars were sold at the Train Collectors Association York, Pennsylvania train meets. Built dates, car decorators and production numbers are from the Newbraugh Brothers Toys Checklist 1974 - 1982. NBT also did cars that featured the Three Mile Island nuclear reactor accident and Guinness World Record for operating the longest model electric train. For items made after 1982, see Newbraugh Brothers Toys 1983 - 2008.
