Lionel # 164 Operating Log Loader

This postwar Lionel # 164 Operating Log Loader is located between two parallel tracks on my layout. A remote control track section is next to the unloading bin, so a loaded log car can dump its load into it. The loader picks up logs from the bin, via a motorized chain conveyor, and carries them up to a holding tray. Logs from the holding tray can then be released into a waiting log car on the other side of the loader.
