Lionel # 460 Piggyback Transportation Set and # 462 Derrick Platform Set

On the left in the photo is a postwar Lionel # 462 Derrick Platform Set, while on the right is a postwar Lionel # 460 Piggyback Transportation Set. Though both platforms are the same size, the derrick platform is painted tan while the piggyback platform is molded gray plastic. The derrick set came with two Radioactive Waste containers with handles. The piggyback set was supplied with two trailers. A postwar Lionel # 262 Automatic Highway Crossing Gate is seen in the foreground.
