Lionel Prewar # 313 Operating Bascule Bridge

The operator in the red roofed structure next to the prewar Lionel # 313 Bascule Bridge keeps a sharp lookout for approaching vessels on the aluminum foil river. Depending on river traffic, a powerful motor allows the bridge to raise and then lower again for trains. There is a video of this bridge in operation on my website.
